It has been a very busy time in year 3
Our class assembly was a very successful and the children were very fantastic; most importantly they enjoyed every minute of it. They were all so proud to show off their work to their families and the family of hedgehogs really got into role. They were really proud of themselves for all being awarded pupil of the week for their amazing effort and performance.
The children are in the middle of writing hedgehog adventure stories and there are some really fantastic tales written. There is some fantastic role play happening in the Wildlife Rescue Centre and they are developing their literacy and numeracy skills at the same time. They have thoroughly enjoyed sharing their experiences of hedgehog searching for their hoglogs and I can’t wait to see the finished hoglogs!
We have begun learning about bats and they particularly enjoyed searching for all the different types of bats and Britain and recording their sizes in a chart. Their next challenge was to work together to order them by size and they really had to use their thinking skills for this.
The children have had lots of fun taking part in teambuilding activities and really had to put their trust in their partners. Thank you for all the newspapers we will be using them next week for more teambuilding challenges!
