All Saints Pupils take the lead at the National Museum

A group of Year 5 and Year 6 pupils have recently had the opportunity to work in partnership with the National Museum Cardiff, to create guided tours for children and families around the galleries as part of Kids in Museums Takeover Day

The children, with the help from the many experts at the National Museum created an informative and fun tour of the Evolution of Wales Gallery.  They were given the opportunity to go behind the scenes of the museum and spend time taking an up close and personal look at the specimens on display and learning all about them.

The culmination of all their hard work involved the pupils presenting their tour live to families on the museum’s families open day.  The children did a wonderful job and everyone who attended the tours gave them incredible feedback.  They were amazed at how professional the children were and how much they knew about the specimens in the gallery.

A huge thank you must go the National Museum education department for giving our pupils the opportunity to work with them and we look forward to continuing our partnership by working together on other projects.
