What a start to 2016
It has been a busy start to the New Year in Year 3. The children have really enjoyed their new topics and have been working very hard.
They have begun making their own animations using Scratch Junior and have also used their ICT skills to record each other discussing materials they have found around the school. The children thoroughly enjoyed their trip to Techniquest and they learnt a lot about the properties of materials from watching the fantastic ‘Materials Show’.
They have begun studying legends and have been comparing the features of two legends – George and The Dragon and The Beast With a Thousand Teeth. They will soon watch the Dragon Slayer and begin planning their own legends.
The role play corner shop is now open! The children will be using a lot of maths skills to buy and sell produce and using lots of Welsh in their role play. They have even made their own bilingual signs to display in the shop.
