Children in Need Day allowed Year 4 to dress up in support of Pudsey Bear and help raise money for such a good cause.

We have been very busy making Christmas tree decorations to sell at the Christmas Fayre and were pleased to sell most of them.

Year 4 had a fantastic trip to Cardiff Castle where we enjoyed a tour of the castle. The rooms were decorated for Christmas and looked stunning. Following a tour of the rooms we took part in a workshop where we all made a Victorian style Christmas tree decoration and card. After lunch we visited the castle shop and then returned to school. Thank you to the parent helpers that day.

During our preparations for Christmas, we have enjoyed studying the book ‘Coming Home’ by Michael Morpurgo. The robin’s journey in the book has reminded us of Mary and Joseph’s journey to Bethlehem and has inspired us in our preparations for Christmas.

Friday 9th December was Values Day (Peace) and LEGO Day. We were inspired by the theme of peace to use Lego Story Starters to create our ideas and used Story Visualizer to record them.

We hope the parents who took part in the activity enjoyed themselves.
