It has been a very busy start to the year.

We have been working hard on improper fractions and mixed numbers as well as our knowledge of times tables facts in order to improve our ‘Beat That’ scores on a Friday.

We have been analysing poetry telling the story on the visit if the Wise Men to the baby Jesus. Having written poems in first draft, we look forward to producing our next display of poetry writing on this wonderful event.

Much work has been done to research the jobs of crew members on Henry V111’s state-of-the-art warship, Mary Rose, and how she sank on 19th July 1545. Many of us our eager to saw the timber needed to construct our model Tudor houses.

We continue to choose our ‘wow words’ in order to use them in our extended Big Writing tasks. This week we have been identifying ‘wow words’ to use in our newspaper reports on the sinking of the Mary Rose.
