Year 6 Blog Autumn A
What a fantastic start we have had in year 6! It’s hard to believe that this will be our final year at All Saints Primary School – it only seems like yesterday we were in Nursery!
It has been a whirlwind start to year 6 with lots of exciting things happening. We have selected our House and Vice House Captains for the year and it will be their responsibility to help lead their respective houses to victory in activities such as the Eisteddfod and Sports Day. A huge congratulations to those voted in to their roles but also to all those children who gave a speech to their houses – we are very proud of you.
The highlight of year 6 so far has to be the Learn to Swim program at Barry Leisure Centre. Every child has made tremendous progress over the three weeks with each person reaching personal goals/achievements. Again, we are very proud of their efforts. Congratulations must go to the boys who have won the ‘Who can get ready first’ competition by some margin.
Next week, we will be taking part in Cycling Profiency Training in school and we are very much looking forward to this exciting opportunity. With swimming and cycling complete – we are now two thirds of the way to competing in a triathalon!
We have loved the start to life in year 6 and know that we have lots of exciting things in store. We can’t wait to share our journey with you!
