We have come to the end of our first term in year 6 and what a term it has been! When we look back on all the wonderful things we have done, we are amazed how we managed to fit it all in!

We were kept very active during our swimming sessions at Barry Leisure Centre and with our cycling proficiency course. We were then refueled by being cooked for by the head chef of Hangfire Smokehouse - delicious!

Our friends and family joined us on the 20th November at our confirmation service at All Saints Church to watch us make our commitment to our faith. It was a wonderful day of celebration and Bishop David was very complimentary about the children's letters prior to the service and their behavior during it.

During our Christmas fair, we took on the role of Lord Sugar by creating our very own mini enterprise. Our stalls were very successful with the children showing some excellent creativity and all groups made a sizable profit.

Our annual Christmas Carol concert was a huge success and we are very proud of the children's efforts whether they were part of the choir, readers or method actors. All children contributed extremely well to what was a fantastic evening.

The term culminated in a wonderful Eucharist led by Year 6 pupils and Father Kevin. This was the first time the children had taken communion in school and we were very proud that so many did so. The children's part of the service was fantastic; very informative with the true message of Christmas. Who knew that Australia had a version of 'The 12 Days of Christmas?'

As you can see it has been a very busy term but the children have been wonderful They are credit to you as parents and to our school. We would like to take this opportunity to wish you a very Merry Christmas. May it be a time of love, joy and peace for you all.
