We have had another busy week in Year 6 six this week!

In our literacy lessons, we have written persuasive letters, convincing Julius Caesar to invade Britain. Mr Davies and Mrs Robinson were very impressed with these, particularly with our use of Wow words such as repugnant, heinous, vehemently and barbaric! Our numeracy lessons have focused on problem solving and we have also been solving division problems in various methods including remainders as fractions. In science, we have been researching micro-organisms and have produced comic life information posters, not too dissimilar from those you would find in a doctor’s surgery.

We have had a wonderful day today celebrating our values day based on humility. We have been designing Thank You cards to acknowledge people who often do thankless tasks for us. We have also discussed pride vs humility and which set of characteristics we would most like to live our lives by. We have listened to the story of Joseph and his technicolor dream coat in celebration assembly and discussed the moral of the story, ‘The Tortoise and the Hare.’

We are also looking forward to our cycling proficiency sessions which start on Monday.
